By downloading, installing, or using the Farmers Marketplace mobile app, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app

Description of Service

Farmers Marketplace provides a mobile app platform that enables users to browse, purchase, and review organic farm produce directly from farmers

User Accounts

  • Users are required to create an account to access certain features of the app.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities that occur under their account

    • Ordering and Purchasing

  • Users may place orders for organic farm produce through the app
  • Payment processing is handled through secure third-party payment gateways. Farmers Marketplace is not responsible for any issues related to payment processing.

    • Product Listings and Descriptions

    Farmers are responsible for the accuracy of product listings and descriptions

    User Conduct

  • Users agree to use the app in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Users shall not engage in any activity that disrupts the integrity or performance of the app.

    • Intellectual Property

  • Farmers Marketplace retains all rights to the content, design, and intellectual property of the app.
  • Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from the app without explicit permission.

    • Privacy Policy

  • Users' personal information is collected and processed in accordance with the Farmers Marketplace Privacy Policy.
  • By using the app, users consent to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

    • Cancellation of Orders

    a. Farmers Marketplace reserves the right to cancel any order placed through the app for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Unavailability of the ordered product due to unforeseen circumstances, such as crop failure, weather conditions, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Inaccurate product information or pricing displayed on the app.
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity associated with the order or user account.
  • Failure to meet the eligibility criteria for purchasing specific products, as determined by Farmers Marketplace or the participating farmers.

    • b. In the event of order cancellation by Farmers Marketplace:

  • Users will be promptly notified of the cancellation and the reasons for it.
  • Any payment made for the cancelled order will be refunded to the user in accordance with the app's refund policy.

    • c. Users understand and agree that Farmers Marketplace shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or inconvenience arising from the cancellation of orders, and that the decision to cancel an order is at the sole discretion of Farmers Marketplace

    Breach by Customer

    In the event of a breach by a customer, including but not limited to infringement of trademark, copyright, or other restrictions, Farmers Marketplace reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include:

  • Suspension or termination of the customer's account and access to the app.
  • Pursuing legal remedies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

    • Trademark, Copyright, and Restrictions

    All trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights displayed on the app are the property of Farmers Marketplace or their respective owners. Users agree not to reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from the app without explicit permission.

    Indemnity

    Users agree to indemnify and hold Farmers Marketplace, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of the user's breach of these terms and conditions or violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

    Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

    These terms and conditions and any disputes arising from the use of the app are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any legal action or proceeding related to the app shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Nigeria.

    Sales in Nigeria Only

  • The products and services offered through the app are intended for sale and use within Nigeria. Farmers Marketplace makes no representations that the products or services are appropriate or available for use in other locations.

    • Limitation of Liability

  • Farmers Marketplace is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app or the purchase of products through the app

    • Changes to Terms

    Farmers Marketplace reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any changes through the app.
